Course Description

This course is designed teach users the basic, core features of Revu 2015 and 2016. On completion of this course the user will have the knowledge needed to pass the Bluebeam Certified User Revu 2015/6:Basics exam.

The course is taught in a modular, hands-on fashion by a Bluebeam Certified Trainer. The course is interactive and there will be time for questions either during each lesson or during break times.

Tony Bolding graduated from the City University London with a 2.1 in Control Engineering. He spent 6 years working in the Oil and Gas industry for BP including working with P & ID's  in the design office at the London HQ, Isle of Grain and Rotterdam refineries, Offshore in the North Sea and managing projects at the Sunbury research centre. He later joined Hewlett-Packard as a Systems Engineer where he taught many HP training courses and later setup his own consultancy where he developed QSPro for Windows, a bills of quantites software package that is widely used in the construction industry. He is a Bluebeam Technical Consultant and now manages Cloud4 Ltd who are an authorised Bluebeam reseller. He has worked with Revu for the past 5 years.

 

Course Content

The following features will be covered in the course and re-inforced by users direct use.

  • Efficient use of the menu bar, command bar and toolbars.
  • Understand the markup tools and how to customise
  • How to use stamps.
  • Features of the tool chest. How to create your own tool set. My tools and recent tools.
  • Difference between drawing modes.
  • Understanding the markups list. Filtering and exporting data.
  • Applying and customising stamps
  • Understanding the tool chest, where to keep different tools, differences between drawing and property mode. Importing and exporting.
  • Creating PDF’s and the Bluebeam PDF printer
  • Document management including thumbnails, deleting, rotating and combining.
  • Visual search techniques.
  • Studio Sessions and projects. How they work and what they can do for you.
  • Additional resources including Tool sets and profiles

 

Learning format

The course is taught at the customer site with class size limited to 10 students to ensure the best learning experience and giving each student sufficient time to ask questions.

Course Length

1 day. The course will start at 9:30am through to 5:30pm with breaks in the morning, lunch time and afternoon.
